Bridge Elementary provides after-school programs, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. BASE is designed to extend the student's learning day. BASE will not be held on days when school is released early.
Each separate BASE enrichment class will run once each week for six weeks. Enrichment classes could include physical fitness such as Kid's Zumba or jump rope, project-based learning such as science activities or reader's theater, STEM activities such as Lego Builders and chess challenge, and arts & crafts activities. BASE will also have a PLP Goal class for students to work on activities aligned with their personalized learning plan (PLP) goals. The BASE PLP Goal class does not require pre-registration.
Except for PLP Goal class, students must pre-register for BASE classes. All classes will have an enrollment cap and some classes will have age requirements. Most BASE classes are supervised by Bridge Elementary teachers and will be free; however, there may be some activities that are supervised and delivered by a third party vendor that will require tuition. A student may register for, and attend up to four BASE classes each week.
BASE will begin the second week of school. Registration for BASE activities will begin August 1, 2020.
